Helmet Fire employs a group of core employees supplemented by various Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). SME backgrounds include:

Our core expertise is derived from our involvement in a broad range of military and civilian risk management initiatives which include:

  • 10+ years working on a variety of US Navy mishap-reduction programs involving: aircrew training, Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Operational Risk Management (ORM)
  • 15+ years in the insurance industry involving: corporate-level risk assessments; evaluation and supervision of personal injury claim processes; and design, development and delivery of company training programs

Principals:

Sheldon Hunt (Senior Consultant) is the program lead for our various reporting systems and an enthusiastic advocate for pragmatic (and simple) end-user solutions.

  • In a former life he served as a US Navy pilot in a variety of operations, training and curriculum management roles
  • Prior to founding Helmet Fire in 2000, he worked with a number of small companies in sales and marketing positions
  • He is an active general aviation pilot with an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) rating and several instructor designations

Laura Hunt (Operations Manager) oversees all of our business functions to include: contract management; sub-contractor and vendor relations; special-program compliance; and personnel issues.

  • Prior to joining Helmet Fire in 2005, Laura worked in a variety of management positions within the insurance industry involving: corporate risk management and training; medical utilization review; and injury and property claims
  • She is actively involved in several community-based organizations
